Q

Where is this event being held?
A The Leon Valley Trade and Market Days is held on the Leon Valley Conference/Community Center grounds, 6427 Evers Rd, Leon Valley, Texas 78238.
   
Q What organization operates the Trade and Market Days?
A The City of Leon Valley operates the Market as an economic development project.
   
Q Who benefits from the proceeds?
A The Market is designed to assist the businesses and the non-profit organizations operating within the City of Leon Valley.
   
Q If I sign up for a booth, must it be annual or may I sign up for less than a year?
A You may sign up for a booth for a month at a time; however, signing for the year enables you to get a 5% discount and the ability to pick your booth location.
   
Q Will this be a flea market?
A Definitely not. The Committee is looking for a variety of handmade, home grown, one of a kind items, and a limited number of antiques. Limits have been placed on each product type category.
   
Q What happens if my product category is already filled when I send my application?
A The Committee will advise you if your category limit has been reached and advise you on what alternative months are available. Priority is given on on a first come basis, so it is best to apply early to ensure you get the month(s) of your choice.
   
Q What day of the week are the Leon Valley Trade and Market days held?
A The Leon Valley Trade and Market Days will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, beginning in March,2008
   
Q Will there be food vendors?
A Yes, come hungry! A wide variety of of tasty items will be on site.
If you are a food vendor you must obtain a city food license. Please view our vendor application page.
   
Q Will indoor booths be available?
A Yes. Additionally, outdoors spaces will also be offered. See the Vendor Application for specific fees.
   
Q If I show up late, will my booth still be available?
A All vendors can arrive by 6:30 a.m. and be set up by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.  Any booths not occupied by 9:00 a.m. Saturday will be leased out to another vendor on a first come basis.
   
Q May I get a booth at the last minute?
A It is possible to get a booth based on availability.
   
Q I have a non-profit booth, must I sell an item or can I distribute information only?
A You may distribute information only, subject to committee approval.
   
Q Are there any overnight camping areas for vendors that travel with their camping trailers that are in the proximity to Leon Valley?

Q I travel in my motor home, is there a park close by or can I stay in my motor home at the place where the event is going to hapen?
A You may not park overnight on the grounds of the Leon Valley Trade and Market Days but you may follow this link to the AAA Official Website for more information regarding campgrounds.
   
Q Are there any lodging facilities nearby?
A Available lodging information is available in the Leon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce website.
   
Q If the weather is bad the day of the event and I paid for an outside booth, can I pay extra for an indoor booth that morning?
A Yes you may elect to move your booth indoors; however this will be based on availability.
   
Q Does it matter what my booth is made out of?
A Canopies and tents are permitted as per vendor information sheet.
   
Q Can I bring my dog to the Leon Valley Trade and Market Days?
A Yes you may, however pets must be leashed and must have all current tags and vaccinations. Please be prepared to show proof.
   
Q Will the Leon Valley Trade and Market Days happen rain or shine?
A Yes!
   
Q Do I need to obtain a tax permit?
A All vendors will be required to show proof of active Sales and Use Tax Permit, or proof of exemption prior to issuance of a daily booth permit. Sales tax is 7.75%.
   
Q How can I obtain a Sales Tax permit?

Q How do I become a member of the Trade & Market Days Committee?
A The Leon Valley Trade and Market Days Committee, appointed by City
Council, is in charge of the Market. They approve the vendor products and seek to maintain a healthy variety of arts, crafts and collectibles. They have traveled throughout the Hill Country evaluating other markets, and have incorporated many of the best attributes into the Leon Valley Trade and Market Days. If you are interested in joining our team please contact your local Leon Valley City Council Members.
